We spent March on three things - making Extruct free, cutting time to value to under 60 seconds, and making it easy to plug into your workflows.
Here's what changed.
Extruct Is Now Free
We restructured pricing. The old model - attach a credit card, start a 7-day trial - was too much friction, especially for people who just want to run a few searches or plug Extruct into an agent. So we removed it. Every user now gets 25 credits a month for Semantic Search and Lookalike Search - no credit card, no trial expiry. That's enough to test a few ICPs, run lookalikes on your best customers, or explore a new vertical. Available in the web app, Chrome Extension, and API.

All users also get access to Data Room - pre-built research tables on specific markets and verticals. The YC W26 batch is already there, enriched with founders, funding, and business model data.
Paid plans got simpler and cheaper:
- Starter ($49/mo) - 500 credits, up to 200 results per search, and full Data Room access with CSV export.
- Pro ($149/mo) - 2,000 credits, plus Deep Search, AI Tables, and email/phone enrichment.

If you're on a legacy plan, nothing changes - we're happy to honor the existing structure. Explore new plans
Extruct API Skill
If you're a founder, GTM engineer, or product builder - you can now plug Extruct directly into your workflow from Claude Code or Codex.
We released the Extruct API Skill - a single skill that gives your AI agent access to all four Extruct workflows: Semantic Search, Lookalike Search, Deep Search, and AI Tables. Install it with one line:
npx skills add extruct-ai/skills
From there, you describe what you need in plain English:
"Research the market around company.com, find 100 similar companies, enrich them with funding data, find founders and their emails. Save to CSV."
The agent runs lookalike searches, builds the list, creates an AI table, enriches it, and saves results. No code, no manual setup.
Danny, my co-founder, does most of his Extruct research from Claude Code now. We barely use our own UI. The agent asks clarifying questions, chains together multiple searches, and produces structured output ready to use. It's faster than clicking through the webapp yourself.
API Playground
We added an API Playground inside the web app. Test any endpoint, see the response, grab the code snippet. Useful if you want to validate an integration before writing code.

Docs Revamp
The docs got a revamp. More how-to guides organized by workflow (Semantic Search, Lookalike, Deep Search, AI Tables), cleaner endpoint and parameter explanations, and a complete documentation index at docs.extruct.ai/llms.txt for agent consumption.
Other Updates
- Usage Analytics - We added a Usage Analytics dashboard so you can see how you're using your credits across features.
- Billing Management - Manage your subscription and purchase credit top-ups inside the app instead of going through the Stripe portal.
